Angela Akins Gracia became interested in sport when she was a teenager and began to play golf. She attended several golf classes to master an effective, but relaxed swing. As the years passed by her experience grew and she bagged over 8 tournaments as an high school student. In her time as the captain of Mable Falls high school's golf team Garcia was able to lead her team to the 3rd place in the 2003 regional tournament, and then they finished with a sixth-place finish in the 2006 competition.
